Decu Downtown is located in downtown Merida. The history of the city begins when the Spanish used many of the Mayan carved stones from the area to build their colonial constructions, including the emblematic buildings that today stand in the historic centre of the city, such as the Cathedral of Santa María la Meno, the oldest built on the mainland of America.
The limestone is predominantly white, which gave rise to the name of Mérida: The White City. Mérida was a walled city until the mid-19th century, built mainly to protect itself from the periodic revolts of the Mayan indigenous people.
Decu Downtown was born here, in 2021, opening its doors and imposing trends of the new century together with the traditions of Yucatán, elevating the service of luxury hospitality to a new level.
